Manage Recordings Settings for Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams

Zoom

To record on Zoom, please refer to their enabling and starting local recordings documentation. For recording settings, please visit their Changing basic and advanced cloud recording settings page.

Your Zoom recordings are stored both on Zoom’s cloud server as well as locally downloaded to your computer.



Recordings Location

1) Stored on Computer:
Go to Settings on the desktop version of Zoom. Navigate to the recordings tab. Here you can change the location of where recorded Zoom meetings are stored locally as well as other settings.

Navigate to the 'Recordings' tab under your Account Settings. Here you can view your saved Zoom Recordings. Easily download, share, or delete recordings from this page.

Google Meet



To start and stop recording on Google Meet, please refer to their Turn recording on or off for Meet page. For additional recording info, please visit their Record a video meeting page. 

To record your Google Meet meeting, navigate to the Activities tab in the bottom right corner. This will open a side window that allows access to the recording feature.

Recordings Location

All video recordings will automatically be saved to the user's Google Drive account. Recordings will be under the 'Meet Recordings' folder. The host of the meeting will also receive an email containing an identical recording of the meeting. This can easily be shared with internal or external teams via email. 

Microsoft Teams

To learn how to record in Teams, please refer to their Record a meeting in Teams documentation. For an intro, please visit their Get started with Microsoft Teams page. 

To record a Microsoft Teams meeting, select the three dots next to the camera icon. This will open a menu that then allows users to start recording.

Recordings Location

All recordings will be automatically uploaded to the user's SharePoint if it was a channel meeting or OneDrive if it was any other type of meeting. Meeting recordings also are viewable in the chat or channel conversation (if a meeting was held in a channel).
